n 2018, while living in Bali, I observed that travelers often lacked access to kitchen facilities when staying in hotels and hostels. As someone who enjoys the experience of cooking while on the road, I decided to establish Cookery – a communal kitchen space where people could come together, have a great time, and forge new friendships.
I leased a dedicated space and transformed it into a fully equipped kitchen. We stocked it with a variety of Balinese ingredients. Guests would contribute donations for the use of the kitchen space and ingredients. Frequently, we organized themed events, such as group paella-cooking sessions or healthy breakfasts with yoga instructors, which added a unique and enjoyable dimension to our community
